Adrian Lewis Loses Over 20kg in 14 Months
Adrian Lewis, a two-time PDC World Darts Champion, has lost over 20 kilograms (approximately 3.5 stone) in just 14 months, marking a significant transformation in his lifestyle. Lewis, who stepped away from competitive darts in 2023, has adopted healthier habits, including regular walking and abstaining from alcohol.
In a recent statement, Lewis reflected on his journey, saying, “Over the last 14 months, I’ve lost about three and a half stone (22.2kg).” This weight loss comes after a long and successful career in darts, where he has also won the UK Open and European Championship.
Lewis’s decision to step back from the sport was not taken lightly. He noted, “I think I needed a break. After 20 years, I definitely needed it. Now I feel refreshed, and I just want to go back and enjoy it.” His commitment to returning to form is evident as he aims to regain his PDC Tour card through Q School in 2027.
However, Lewis lost his PDC Tour card at the start of 2025 due to inactivity, which has heightened his determination to make a comeback. His last competitive appearance was in August last year during the MODUS Super Series.
The darts community has been supportive of Lewis’s journey, with fellow players acknowledging the impact of a strong walk-on song, as highlighted by Glen Durrant, who stated, “I think a walk-on song can give you 1%. We’ve seen some powerful walk-ons.” This camaraderie reflects the tight-knit nature of the sport.
As Lewis prepares for his return, he is focused on maintaining his health and fitness, which he believes will be crucial for his success in the competitive arena once again. His journey serves as an inspiration for many, demonstrating the importance of health and well-being in sports.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding the specific timeline for his return, but Lewis’s dedication and passion for darts remain clear as he looks to re-establish himself in the sport.
