Disneyland Paris Unveils World of Frozen on March 29, 2026
Disneyland Paris has officially opened the World of Frozen on March 29, 2026, marking a significant milestone in its transformation into Disney Adventure World. This new land features attractions inspired by the beloved Frozen franchise, including the family-friendly Frozen Ever After ride.
The opening ceremony was a grand affair, showcasing performances and appearances by Disney executives and iconic characters. Notably, the event highlighted the ambitious $2 billion investment in the park’s reimagining, which now includes two parks instead of one.
As part of the festivities, the Disney Cascade of Lights was unveiled at Adventure Bay, featuring the world’s first integration of an aquatic drone system. This spectacular show includes a ballet of more than 380 drones, synchronized with a 90-piece orchestra, creating a mesmerizing experience for guests.
In addition to the drone ballet, the show features synchronized mobile fountains with water jets reaching heights of 18 feet, enhancing the visual spectacle. The total weight of the barges used in the performance is an impressive 168 tons.
Disneyland Paris has a rich history, having granted over 25,000 wishes since its opening in 1992. The introduction of Disney Adventure World and the World of Frozen is seen as a continuation of the park’s commitment to creating magical experiences.
Josh D’Amaro, a Disney executive, remarked, “Few stories have resonated with fans around the world like Frozen,” emphasizing the franchise’s global impact. Natacha Rafalski, president of Disneyland Paris, stated, “With Disney Adventure World, we’re not only unveiling a reimagined second gate at Disneyland Paris; we’re opening the door to a new era.”
Moreover, the new show A Celebration in Arendelle features Olaf and original music, further immersing guests in the Frozen universe. Another attraction, Raiponce Tangled Spin, draws inspiration from the Tangled film, adding to the diverse offerings in the park.
As Disneyland Paris continues to evolve, the opening of the World of Frozen is a strategic move to attract more visitors and enhance the overall guest experience. The success of the Frozen films, which grossed approximately $2.7 billion globally, underscores the potential for this new attraction.
