Jamie Bell Stars in HBO’s Upcoming Series Half Man

Half Man, a six-part drama created by Richard Gadd, is set to premiere on HBO and HBO Max on April 23, 2026. Following its U.S. debut, episodes will be available weekly on BBC iPlayer starting April 24, 2026.
In this series, Jamie Bell portrays the character Niall, while Richard Gadd plays his brother Ruben. The narrative explores the intricate themes of brotherhood, violence, and the fragility of male relationships, capturing 30 years in the lives of these characters.
Filming for Half Man took place in and around Glasgow, showcasing the region’s landscape and culture. The series is produced by Mam Tor Productions in association with Thistledown Pictures, with international distribution handled by Banijay Rights.
Directors Alexandra Brodski and Eshref Reybrouck bring Gadd’s vision to life, supported by Screen Scotland. The series also features Mitchell Robertson and Stuart Campbell, who play younger versions of Niall and Ruben, respectively.
