Jason Manford and Gary Barlow Team Up for New Travel Series

ITV has commissioned a new travel series featuring Jason Manford and Gary Barlow, titled ‘Gary Barlow’s Food & Wine Tour: New Zealand’. The series will consist of 6 episodes, each lasting 30 minutes, showcasing the duo’s adventures in New Zealand.

Produced by Rock Oyster Media in association with Tourism New Zealand and Great Rail Journeys, the series promises a mix of culinary experiences and thrilling activities, including tandem biking and rescuing penguins.

This new series follows Barlow’s previous travel shows set in South Africa and Australia, which collectively reached an audience of 5 million viewers.

David Nottage, the executive producer, remarked, “Gary is a much-loved, charismatic and inquisitive traveller. Pair him with his mate Jason Manford and belly laughs and high adrenaline are guaranteed!”

Leanne Clarke, Assistant Commissioner for Entertainment and Daytime at ITV, played a pivotal role in commissioning the series, which aims to capture the essence of travel through genuine moments of connection.

Dave Riley from Great Rail Journeys emphasized the importance of storytelling in travel, stating, “Great Rail Journeys has always believed that the most powerful travel stories come to life when you create genuine moments of connection – between people, cultures and landscapes.”

As the series prepares for its debut, viewers can expect a blend of humor and adventure, characteristic of both Barlow and Manford.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding the exact premiere date and additional locations featured in the series, but anticipation is building among fans of both entertainers.
