Judge Judy’s Son to Star in New Courtroom Series ‘Adam’s Law’
Judge Judy Sheindlin’s original show was one of the highest-rated and most profitable programs in daytime history. After concluding its 25-season run in 2021, CBS Media Ventures has announced a new courtroom series titled ‘Adam’s Law.’ The show will feature Adam Levy, the 57-year-old son of Judge Judy, as the presiding judge.
‘Adam’s Law’ is set to premiere in 2026 and is part of CBS Media Ventures’ expanded fall syndication slate. The show aims to focus on rooting out facts and dispensing justice in small-claims-style cases, following a fast-paced, no-nonsense style similar to that of ‘Judge Judy.’
Adam Levy has experience in the courtroom genre, having served as a prosecutor and judge on Amazon’s courtroom programs. The production of ‘Adam’s Law’ will be handled by Judge Judy’s Queen Bee Productions in association with CBS Media Ventures.
Industry reaction to the announcement has been cautiously optimistic. CBS Media Ventures has expressed confidence in the new series, stating, ‘Adam’s Law’ is a bold new take on the courtroom. John Budkins, a representative from CBS Media Ventures, noted that the addition of ‘Adam’s Law’ expands the company’s portfolio with distinct programs designed to engage audiences.
Currently, CBS Media Ventures is in discussions with station groups about clearances for the 2026 season. The courtroom genre has evolved significantly, incorporating more dramatic storytelling and social media integration, which could play a role in the success of ‘Adam’s Law.’
Judge Judy remains actively involved in television production and serves as an executive producer for ‘Adam’s Law.’ Whether Adam Levy can carve out his own successful chapter in this genre remains to be seen.
As CBS Media Ventures prepares for the launch of ‘Adam’s Law,’ the anticipation builds for how this new series will resonate with audiences familiar with the legacy of Judge Judy.
