KNOX Hydration Secures £6 Million-a-Year Sponsorship with Newcastle United

Newcastle United has announced a groundbreaking £6 million-a-year sponsorship deal with KNOX Hydration, a South African sports drinks company. This three-year agreement, totaling £18 million, will see KNOX’s branding featured on the shirt sleeve of Newcastle’s training kits and the renaming of the Darsley Park training ground to The KNOX.

The deal is set to commence on July 1, 2026, and will run until 2029. This partnership marks the first major commercial initiative under the leadership of Chief Executive David Hopkinson, who expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. “We are thrilled to welcome KNOX Hydration as a world-class partner,” Hopkinson stated. He emphasized that this is not merely a branding exercise but a performance-led partnership that will also benefit the community.

KNOX Hydration’s products will be made available across all levels of the club, enhancing the team’s training regimen. This sponsorship comes at a time when Newcastle’s commercial revenue has seen a remarkable 44% increase, reaching £120.1 million for the 2024-25 financial year. The club’s overall turnover for that season was reported at £335.3 million.

John Schaefer, a representative from KNOX Hydration, highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating, “Just as importantly, the club’s dedicated fan base and the strong sense of community that surrounds Newcastle United make this partnership especially meaningful.” He added, “We’re excited to grow together and be part of that journey both on and off the pitch.”

This sponsorship deal is notable as it is Newcastle United’s first-ever training ground and training-kit sleeve sponsorship agreement. The club is also actively seeking a front-of-training-wear sponsor to further enhance its commercial strategy.

As Newcastle United continues to expand its commercial footprint, the collaboration with KNOX Hydration represents a significant step forward. Observers are keen to see how this partnership will evolve and what additional commercial opportunities may arise in the future.
