Savannah Guthrie Speaks Out on Mother’s Abduction
Savannah Guthrie has given her first interview since the abduction of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, who was kidnapped from her Arizona home on February 1. In a deeply emotional conversation, Savannah shared the agony her family is experiencing and the desperate need for information regarding her mother’s whereabouts.
During the interview, Savannah revealed that bloodstains found at the scene were confirmed to belong to her mother. The family has taken significant steps to aid in the search, including a $500,000 donation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and offering a $1 million reward for information that could assist in Nancy’s recovery.
Nancy Guthrie, who is currently 84 years old, has been missing for nearly a month. Savannah, who made her first appearance on the Today show since January 30 during this interview, expressed her profound distress, stating, “I wake up every night, in the middle of the night, every night, and in the darkness, I imagine her terror.”
In a heartfelt plea, Savannah urged anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing that “no detail is too small. It may be the key.” The FBI has also released images and a video of an armed individual seen at Nancy’s property, further highlighting the seriousness of the situation.
As the investigation continues, Savannah’s family has made an emotional appeal to their mother’s neighbors, hoping that someone in the community might possess crucial information. Savannah stated, “Someone needs to do the right thing. We are in agony. It is unbearable.”
With the interview set to air in two parts on Thursday and Friday, the Guthrie family hopes to raise awareness and encourage anyone with potential leads to step forward. The FBI’s involvement underscores the urgency of the case as they seek to locate Nancy Guthrie and bring her home safely.
