Manchester United Transfer News: Thiago, Zirkzee, and Hall Updates
Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Brentford striker Igor Thiago as they look to strengthen their squad. The club is also said to be keeping an eye on Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall.
Thiago, who scored 22 goals in 38 league appearances last season, has reportedly been discussed as a potential target. Although he signed a new contract with Brentford in February, United have made enquiries to understand his situation. Transfer journalist Ben Jacobs indicated that while Thiago is considered “Premier League ready,” securing his transfer this summer could be challenging.
Transfer Market Activity
United are also looking to address their striker options, with reports linking them to Dusan Vlahovic, who left Juventus on a free transfer. Vlahovic, who scored ten goals for Juventus last season, has reportedly received an offer from Turkish side Besiktas. Another forward, Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa, is also attracting interest from Turkey and is being monitored by United.
In terms of outgoings, Joshua Zirkzee, who joined two years ago from Bologna, could be nearing a move away. Clubs in Italy, including Juventus, are reportedly interested in bringing him back to Serie A, potentially on a season-long loan with an option for a permanent transfer. United, however, would prefer a permanent sale.
The club has already made several signings, including goalkeepers Karl Darlow and Kit Margetson, and midfielders Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans. They are still keen to add another central midfielder, with Carlos Baleba and Manu Kone among the names under consideration.

The club has also been offered the chance to sign Rafael Leao from AC Milan, who are reportedly seeking a price of €60 million for the player.
