]]> Filming for the highly anticipated seventh series of Line of Duty has begun in Belfast, featuring both returning and new cast members. The last series aired in 2021, leaving fans eager for more.

This season marks a significant shift as AC-12 will be disbanded and rebranded as the Inspectorate of Police Standards. This change reflects an evolving narrative and addresses contemporary issues within policing.

Key cast members include:

  • Martin Compston as Steve Arnott
  • Vicky McClure as Kate Fleming
  • Adrian Dunbar as Ted Hastings
  • Christina Chong as DI Nicky Rogerson
  • Robert Carlyle as Detective Constable Shaun Massie

Jed Mercurio, the show’s creator, expressed his gratitude towards fans: “Everyone involved in Line of Duty feels enormous gratitude to the show’s fans.” He also noted the challenge of writing during a time when corruption was supposedly declining: “Corruption in this country is supposed to have come to an end while Line of Duty was off air, so I’ve been forced to use my imagination.”
