These earnings equate to approximately £176,000 per week, in addition to his reported £300,000 weekly wages from Manchester United. Fernandes signed his current contract two years ago, and it now has 12 months remaining, though it includes an option for a one-season extension.
Contract Status and Club Stance
Despite the approaching end of his current deal, Manchester United reportedly has no immediate plans to offer Fernandes a new contract, though this could change during the upcoming season. The club communicated to Fernandes earlier this year that they do not wish to lose him during the current summer transfer window. This follows a period 12 months prior when the club reportedly considered selling him without informing the midfielder.
However, that situation appears to be resolved, with Fernandes content to remain at Old Trafford.
